Are you naturally drawn to the classic allure of yellow gold?
You might not know it, but yellow gold is the metal which is closest to the colour of pure gold as it is found in nature. It’s been used stretching back to prehistory and was one of the first metals known to metallurgists along with copper and bronze.
Whilst pure gold has a beautiful rich colour that is worshipped and highly prized in many societies, it’s too soft on its own for your everyday jewellery pieces. We work in both solid 18ct and 9ct yellow gold which is pure gold mixed with copper and silver.
The hallmark stamp of 750 shows that your piece of jewellery is solid 18ct gold, which translates as 75% pure gold and the hallmark stamp of 375 shows that your piece of jewellery is solid 9ct gold, which translates as 37.5% pure gold. Yellow gold is durable, non-tarnishing and easy to clean.
